The best ways to waste time in class.
We’ve all been sitting in class with our laptops in front of us, not giving a rats ass about what the teacher says, but we still can’t figure out anything to do on our laptops to waste those useless (or not) 50 minutes or more away. Here are some of my favorites.
Free Rider 2 http://www.addictinggames.com/freerider2.html
we’ve all played the typical bmx games where you go over hills and do back flips and maybe even race a few computer characters, but this one has a very unique little spin to it. you create your own levels using a line tool, a curve tool, and a few other special things such a bombs, boosts, gravity changes and objectives. Save your levels and send them to your friends. Have challenges in the class, who can make the hardest beatable level? That is if you’re feeling social. And if you’re playing by yourself, make a level that auto-plays. I’ve came up with some pretty creative stuff in calculus class. If you do a Google search on “free rider 2” levels, you can see some pretty ridiculous levels that others have made. The coolest one and the most popular one out there is the Simpsons level. If you get nasty at the game, give it a try
Cyanide and Happiness http://www.explosm.net/comics/2185/
These are some comics i like to read. Some are vulgar, some are cute, some are funny, and some are just downright depressing. Either way, i find myself looking at them for hours in class. They’re in chronological order and you can even click “random” to get a random comic, just in case you’re already looking at a set you’re familiar with.
This may seem obvious, but the games that come with your computer are actually a pretty good time waster. Once you get pretty good at minesweeper, people actually enjoy watching you play. I’ve never gotten tired of playing solitaire either. I’ve played 225 games of it this month. if solitaire is too easy, try FreeCell. If its too hard, try playing spider solitaire (a much easier version) If you’re feeling competitive, they have online checkers and spades and even backgammon. For you intellectuals, try giving chess titans a play.
I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you to go on to Facebook during class, but nevertheless, theres no safer way to stalk an ex-girlfriend when you should be learning about diatomic ions. This just seemed like an appropriate thing to add to the list.
Thats about all I can think of for now. I can say that those four things have never failed me when i’m in class bored out of my mind when the professor is going on about stuff I learned in high school. See you all Wednesday!
